We offer for sale the Letovice castle complex, which is located in a picturesque area of the South Moravian Region, 12 km from the town of Boskovice. Originally a Gothic castle from the 13th century, it was built on a strategic location above the valley of the Svitava River. During the Renaissance, the aristocratic residence was rebuilt into a user-friendly chateau and later Baroque elements were added, which can be found throughout the castle grounds of the historical property.
The property consists of the three-winged castle building itself, which is approximately 2500 sqm in size. Just below the castle is the 2419 sqm farmyard, which consists of very well-preserved stables (currently used as a restaurant), riding stables (now used for social events), the technical facilities of the yard and the farmyard courtyard itself. The grounds also include the former brewery building and the underground cellars. Everything is in good condition. The brewery building of 1168 sqm is now used for commercial purposes, the accessible underground increases the tourist attractiveness. It can be used as wine cellars, etc. Behind the brewery building, 12 garages for cars have been built. At the entrance to the chateau there is a 225 sqm guard house for the caretaker. The subject of the sale is also the castle park around the castle of 7683 sqm and the access road.
The castle itself has one underground floor, three habitable floors and an attic. The first floor is currently completely dedicated to a tour route and exhibition. This is the oldest area of the castle from the Gothic period. There are entrances to the wine cellars and other cellars.
The second floor continues the expositions. There are also two apartments, which are rented out and enjoy great popularity. The usable area of this floor is 723 sqm of living space and 180 sqm of corridors, staircases and lift shafts. The third floor is fully used for exhibition and display purposes. This floor has a total floor area of 837 sqm + 57 sqm of terraces, 183 sqm of corridors, staircases and an elevator shaft. On the fourth floor there is an attic. In the main courtyard of the castle there is a well and the entrance to the castle chapel.
The current owner bought the castle from the original restituents in a damaged state. Since 2004, extensive reconstruction has been carried out, which is now largely completed. The complex is unique and structurally well cared for.
The entire complex has very flexible use for both private entity and commercial purposes. It is about 30 minutes from Brno and 2.5 hours from Prague.
